Art can be a powerful tool for discovery. Through the act of making art, we are often confronted with our emotions, thoughts, and desires. The creative process allows us to explore aspects of ourselves that may otherwise remain hidden. As artists we are developing a tool to become more sensitive - allowing us to look more closely and interrogate the way things have been presented to us, expanding the way we look at, and interact with the world. My job as a mentor and tutor is to help you navigate this journey.

As we engage with materials, colors, and forms, we uncover new layers of our identity, becoming aware of our fears, our dreams, and our strengths. Whether through deliberate exploration or spontaneous expression, art offers a space for introspection and personal growth.

It becomes a conversation between the artist, their subconscious and how they relate with the world.

Through an art practice, we gain not only a deeper understanding of our personal narrative but also a profound connection to our sense of purpose and meaning. In the process of making, we may find clarity, confront vulnerability, or discover new perspectives on the world around us. Ultimately, the act of creating art is an ongoing process of becoming—of evolving and learning who we are, what we value, and what we seek to communicate.

Rosanna’s teaching is a masterclass in combining high-level technical expertise with a deep bridge to art history and contemporary practice. Because she maintains a successful, inspiring personal practice, she shares her knowledge with a generosity and professional perspective that is rare to find.

During her intensive course, 'Transform Your Painting Through Colour Temperature and Value Relationships,' I gained a more sophisticated understanding and command of value, hue, and chroma. This wasn't just about learning skills; it was about empowering my practice. I’ve left with an improved 'diagnostic' eye—both for my own work and the work of other artists. Looking back at my previous pieces, I can clearly see how to refine my palettes and light rendering. For any artist looking to move into more professional territory, Rosanna is an invaluable guide.
